A Rainbow Garden
Turmoil rained inside my heart.
My sould did weep the tears,
my physical form was too weak
too hold
- these memories of grief.
I wish to part from pain, my friend
and now just ask for this.
Please send to me a rainbow
as a thankyou
from me to you.
In times of Noah the world rejoiced
in such a memory.
I've watched in times of trouble
and cherished the colours sent
as precious gifts we so often take
without gratitude or love.
Dear Lord, I love the colour
and the sounds that you have sent
- in times of joy and pain.
I love the butterflies who bring the messages
to guide me through this daily life.
The vibration of Grevillea in my hand I held
as I did sit awhile
and waited for the sign you send
to say the storm does end.
I saw a yellow butterfly,
Lemon Migrant the book has said,
pause to rest
on the purple bush - Duranta Repens.
I softly smiled as I did leave
my journey to continue.
For yes! dear Lord I see the message
in the bounty you did send.
I looked to the sky, as a rainbow I did seek
and was sent a garden instead.
