WHO IS GOD'S MOTHER?
(an essay by Gaele Arnott)
The question came for a four year old child, who felt so loved by her own mother that she thought everyone should share this experience. But, if God loves everyone then who cuddles and loves God back.
Who is God's mother?
It matters not the religious background from which you come. It also does not matter whether you call HIM/Her by this name, God or not. To you, your God may be called Adonai, Yahweh, Elohim, Hu, the Universe, the Source, the Mighty I Am or something else entirely. The name is whatever causes you to feel comfortable. You may not even believe that there is a God. To you this being may be the Creator, for we all must come from "somewhere".
Over the past twenty or thirty years there has been more general interest in tracing the genealogy of the family. We all want to know what is the blood connection to our ancestors. During this same period there also has emerged a greater interest in tracing "past lives". Generally this is assumed that we have lived before in another incarnation on the physical plane in third dimension, Earth. The philosophy of this thought is difficult for many to consume and so I would not dare, (would I? - an Aries-Rooster), to suggest that incarnations may have been in all parrallel realities in as many forms as the many galaxies allow. (see The Journey in Essays from the Soul)
There are many, I am sure, although I have not read them, articles on the philosophy of who created the creator. We can comprehend that the creator issued forth a command and the one soul split open and we all burst forth from the mother as soul's on a particular journey, everlastingly travelling through infinity back to the source and home.
We all have the desire to be "cuddled", once again, the same as the small child in the arms of our mother. We want someone who loves us, and only us. Someone who thinks we are so special that no one else exists for him or her at that moment. Someone who loves us so unconditionally that we can be loved with all the thorns and warts. A mother doesn't mind the prickles. The child of her womb is the connection to the source and her way of sharing the journey back to the source.
In another culture in another time, woman was considered to be all powerful because she had the ability to create life. She became in essence the creator. She took her power and "ran with it", to create a matriachal society that had as many pitfalls and power plays as the patriarchal one in which we have lived. In a matriachal society, men are chattels to be used as the seed for creation. In our society women became the chattels. Male word was/is law. The female suppresses her desires and ambition. Her drive becomes that of the male. She keeps his home, bears his children and keeps silent.
To even begin to understand "who is God's mother" first the need is to have a marriage of equals. Each partner needs to learn to respect the other for the role they are meant to enact in this part of the play. All the issues of control need to be LET GO. Once this pattern has been established, the issue of self-worth and self-value may be addressed. The more you learn to vaue yourself, the more you begin to learn that God, the creator, The Mighty I Am, is within and around us. You already are the Master. You created your own destiny.
Before I make so bold a statment as to suggest that if you are your own creator then therefore you are God, you would need to look within your heart and ask who is GOD. Is the source so far removed from us all that he didn't need a mother? We travel through life similar to that of the wheel. A wheel is a circle and as the wheel turns so the Circle of Life evolves, ever moving forward. Sometimes the wheel travels over the same spot, but the likelihood of the wheel ever touching the same spot is so remote that the mathematical equations of PI times infinity is as close as we can come to this answer. The philosophy of the question is as exciting as is the equation of PI and we have all spent some point within an incarnation trying to solve this riddle. We bring each of these times with us as we move into another incarnation. We have tucked it into our subconscious mind, to be dragged forth as a dim memory of who God was in the beginning. We search our soul and begin to allow the glimmer to be of the original mother - the Goddess energy of the Christ Consciousness - maybe - perhaps? The question has become too deep and maybe the philosophy - is too complicated - too hard to fathom.
The four year old first daughter of a first daughter of a first daughter already knows that she (woman) is God's mother.
